The one where Trumpster goes to the Barbershop

As you recall Leo’s hair was getting pretty long…

He was started to resemble my favorite media and real estate mastermind, Trump.

Especially so when I comb over his hair from his ears on.

His haircut was starting to bring back the early 90’s country music videos. And I am so against business in the front, party in the back.

So I cut it. Trimmed the front, Trimmed the back- and he looked like a little page boy from the 1600’s. So we trimmed around his ears, and took him straight from real estate mogul, to early 90’s elementary school, aka the coolest time ever, because that’s where I was in the early 90’s. 

I’ve spent the last week trying to remember what he looked like before. He looks like such a big kid now.  I’ve found myself signing with him and talking to him more- so I’ve stopped treating him like such a baby too. It’s a good thing, he needs to start applying all the things he’s learned in Trump’s book, I expect him to be rich by Kindergarten.

Mother’s Day Night

 

We had a Mother and Daughter’s night at Young Women’s at the end of May. It all started with this video from lds.org, which we watched during one of our Sunday lessons, and we talked about making one of our own.

 

During the month of April I interviewed all the girls in our program with these questions:

When you think of your mom, what three things do you think of?

How do you want to be like your mom?

If you Mom were a cartoon character, what would she be?

How does your mom show she cares about you?

What’s one of your favorite memories of you and your mom?

What does your mom do that makes you laugh?

 

I edited all the answers into a 25 minute video, with some pictures of their moms as young mothers and teenagers. That was the main part of our evening.

Here were the invitations- pretty wrapped tissues (the girls were so sure their moms were going to cry).

 

We did manicures, had root beer floats, listened to a message about mothers from our Young Women’s President, and then watched the movie. It was a great night!
